The event has the support of Curtin University Campus in Sarawak. We plan seminars at the University with the assistance of the Asia Media Information and Communication Centre, AMIC.
GREEN GRADUATES
There will also be a special programme and opportunities for Gap Year University Students .
SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES
We are in discussion with the Star Media Group in Malaysia, who produce impressive educational supplements, to organise screenings and seminars in local schools and colleges.
SCREENINGS
Each evening as part of the Wildlife film festival there will be special public screenings of the best natural history documentaries in the world.
MEDIA TRAINING WORKSHOPS
There will be a series of workshops on the two days before the summit aimed at introducing Asian journalists to the dilemmas and complexities involved in reporting environmental issues and the importance of getting these issues across to the widest possible audience in the most accurate and attractive way. We plan to invite thirty environmental journalists in print, radio and television from the developing world with the support of the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union.
